Your photos are never uploaded to any server. All conversion happens entirely in your browser. No image data ever leaves your device.
How conversion works
heictojpg converts HEIC files to JPG, PNG, or WebP entirely within your web browser using WebAssembly technology. When you drop a file into the converter, it is read locally by your browser and processed using the libheif library running on your own device. No network request is made to any server during this process.
No image data is ever collected
We do not upload, store, process, transmit, or have any access to your photos or image files. The images exist only in your browser's local memory during conversion and are immediately available for download. Closing or refreshing the page removes them entirely.
Analytics and usage data
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., page views, browser types). This data does not include any image data, file names, or personal identifiers. No cookies are required for the core conversion functionality.
Advertising
This site may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks. These networks may use cookies to serve relevant ads. The ad content is unrelated to your file conversion activity, and your images are never accessible to ad systems.
What we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or process: your image files, file names, file contents, conversion output, or any personal data related to your photos. We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use this service.
Third-party libraries
This site loads the following libraries from CDN providers: libheif-js (WebAssembly HEIC decoder) and JSZip (ZIP file creation). These libraries run locally in your browser and do not transmit your files anywhere. CDN providers may log standard server access logs (IP address, browser type) for their own infrastructure purposes.
Children's privacy
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
